Overview

SCA AS70 is a modular self-contained breathing apparatus built around a common core: an adjustable 8-way moving backframe, a rotating regulator that accepts both 90° and 180° cylinder valves, and a lighter Type 3 composite cylinder.

Fire services specify only the functions they need — a detachable communication module, a wireless head-up display and the wireless PASSTIC unit combining an electronic pressure gauge, thermal imaging camera and PASS alarm. The face-piece offers a 230° wide visor with anti-fog film and a First Breathing Open (FBO) demand valve. Available in 45-minute and 60-minute configurations.

Modular, Configure-to-Order Design

One SCBA platform, specified to your mission. Detachable communication module, wireless HUD and wireless PASSTIC are optional add-ons, so each unit carries only the functions the team needs.

Wireless PASSTIC — Electronic Gauge

Pairs with the backframe by NFC contact and shows remaining air, available breathing time and time in operation on a bright colour display.

PASSTIC — Thermal Imaging Camera

Built-in thermal camera for rapid search in darkness and smoke, with four display modes: colour, black & white, inverted grey and FIRE.

PASSTIC — PASS Alarm

Integrated personal alert safety system sounds an alarm to call for rescue when a firefighter is in danger.

Detachable Communication Module

Clips onto the face-piece. Works as a voice amplifier on its own and as a radio headset when a radio is connected; usable with a commander's fist microphone or directly at the face-piece. Up to 12 hours per charge.

Wireless HUD

Magnetic, detachable head-up display paired by NFC. Shows cylinder pressure in four stages (300 / 225 / 150 / 75 bar) and vibrates inside the face-piece below 75 bar.

Rotating Regulator

The high-pressure regulator can be positioned to match the cylinder valve type, accepting both 90° and 180° valves on the same backframe.

Adjustable 8-Way Moving Backframe

Moves up/down, left/right and forward/back with the wearer to distribute load. Shoulder-strap position adjusts for M and L body sizes; ergonomic lumbar pad follows the line of the lower back.

Lighter Type 3 Cylinder

Newly developed Type 3 carbon-composite cylinder with aluminium liner, 0.35 kg lighter than the previous design. 6.8 L (45 min) and 9.2 L (60 min) versions.

Improved Battery

Unified magnetic charging connector, three-level charge indicator at the push of a button, and up to 550 hours of operation on a full charge (internal test).

Customisable Harness

S-shaped aramid shoulder straps with D-rings for lanterns and alarms. Chest buckle height adjusts on both sides, and detachable equipment bands accept modular accessories.

Low-Pressure Warning & Rescue Functions

Whistle alarm at approx. 75 bar sustained down to approx. 10 bar; buddy lights switch from green to red. Quick-fill connection, by-pass valve, optional rescue mask and buddy-breathing (medium-pressure sharing) device.
