Three product segments, one mission

Through three product segments — masks, respirators and protective clothing — Hancom Lifecare provides a comprehensive line of products for the military, homeland security, law enforcement, fire service and chemical & maritime industries.

We manufacture CBRN and anti-riot gas masks and filters, air-purifying respirators, chemical protective suits, self-contained breathing apparatus, firefighting garments and helmets, and heat proximity clothing — and, under the ELEKTIGER brand, equipment for electric-vehicle and energy-storage fires.

History

Five decades of protection

1971 – 1990Establishing the foundation
  1. 1971Founded as SanCheong.
  2. 1974Registered as an official defence supplier.
  3. 1984Developed Korea's first SCBA.
1991 – 2000Developing gas masks
  1. 1991Introduced industrial gas masks.
  2. 1993Launched military gas masks.
  3. 1998Released civilian gas masks meeting Korean standards.
2001 – 2018Leaping forward as a CBRN PPE company
  1. 2003Accredited to ISO 9001.
  2. 2008Designated as a defence company; supplied K-1 gas masks.
  3. 2010Appointed to develop the next-generation gas mask.
  4. 2011Supplied special protective suits to the Korean army.
  5. 2014Established HANCOM SPI, a manufacturing subsidiary in the Philippines.
  6. 2016K10 gas mask fulfilled NATO Triptych requirements; started shipping K5 gas masks to the Korean armed forces.
  7. 2017Merged into Hancom Group.
  8. 2018SCBA SCA 10 won the Presidential Prize.
2019 – 2025Expanding to global safety & defence
  1. 2019Changed company name to Hancom Lifecare Inc.
  2. 2020Acquired Hancom Healthcare, expanding PPE production.
  3. 2021Listed on KOSPI and entered the military MILES business.
  4. 2022Selected to operate the National Quarantine Material Stockpile.
  5. 2023Secured contract for a ground laser target designator.
  6. 2024Launched EV fire suppression solutions (ELEKTIGER).
  7. 2025Secured major global defence contracts (US, PH) and partnerships.

We pursue third-party certification — NATO Triptych D103, CE, KFI — rather than self-declaration for mission-critical equipment.

Products are refined with feedback from Korean soldiers and firefighters — from 3,000+ soldier face scans for the K10 to boots reinforced by firefighter feedback.

From ICT-connected SCBA to the ELEKTIGER line for lithium-ion battery fires, we apply technology to protect lives.
